Yup! Its that time again...LEG DAY and heavy squats again!! This week your goal on your 5 x 5 squat, try and add 5 lbs-10 lbs to those woking sets. If you struggled with hitting the numbers last week, try to stay at that weight but hit all of your reps!!! Progress guys, its all about progress! After your heavy squats we are going right back to our stiff leg deads. You can choose whether or not to do them from a deficit. The deficit does not need to be high. Anywhere from 1-4 inches is plenty. If you are not flexible in your hamstrings, they you probably do not need to do these from a deficit and DO NOT descend beyond your level of mobility. Go until you feel a good stretch. Another idea, if you want to change things up a bit, try using dumbbells instead of a barbell. Dumbbells are great for stiff leg deads. I like to just follow my hands down my shins to my toes and then reverse back up. With dumbbell you should not need to be from a deficit because they are much smaller around which also for more mobility.
