DANA & ROB BAILEY vs. HYPERTROPHY COACH | Lift Factory, Las Vegas

Sooo we meet again... but this time in Vegas at the Lift Factory for a excruciating shoulder workout. I must say, I think Joe is one of my favorite people to train with. Mostly because I let him take the reigns and let him do his best at completely demolishing me AND... he never lets me down. When I look at the workout, it doesn't even look like we did all that much, at least compared to my workouts. But the difference is he makes every single rep count. Continuously cueing you through each rep. Pushing you to get those couple of reps that you didn't you had in you. He gets you there. Now if only I could convince him to move his family to Montana so he could train me every day like this....... #wishfulthinking

 THE WORKOUT: 

1. CHAIN SHOULDER PRESS

  • We did 3-4 regular sets and then 2-3 drop sets, where we stripped one chain off, then the other chain off and then just rep'ed until we couldn't do anymore.
  • I have no clue how many reps I did because my shoulders were on fire and I couldn't count!

 1. Chain Shoulder Press 
2. SUPERSET: 
SEATED LOW PULLEY CABLE REVERSE FLY
STANDING PULSING LATERALS (BOTTOM 1/4 REPS)
  • These two exercises were to focus on the medial/lateral head. Not to be confused with reverse flys for rear belt. Pay attention to the upward motion of my arms.  Keeping elbows straight and pointed towards the back of the room.  These will rock your shoulders!! And just when you think you are done you stand up and do pulsing reps until failure.

3. SUPERSET: 
STANDING HIGH PULLEY REVERSE CABLE FLY
SEATED CABLE ROPE FACEPULL / DROPSET ROWS WITH ROPE
RESISTANCE BAND REAR DELT PULL
  • Now we move on to hit the rear delts by moving the cable to the high pulley and doing reverse cable flys.  We then go straight into seated cable face pulls using the rope (again, I have no idea how many reps I did... too much pain) Then dropset to seated rows using the top, keeping elbows high and flared.  And again when you think you are done and your shoulders are screaming, Joe hands you a resistance band to do rear delt pulls.  Super humbling when you can't even stretch a rubber band.

THANK YOU JOE for another amazing and humbling workout....And just put some thought on moving to Montana.... I think it could be great (for me ;)
