GIANT BACK DAY WITH REGAN GRIMES

Today we hit an insane Back Day with Regan Grimes here at the Venice Beach Gold's Gym -  The Mecca of Bodybuilding. We were here for the LA Fit Expo for the first time in years and were super excited for it! Regan took us through his back workout to get crazy wide! This was my first time training with a real bodybuilder in a year, and let me tell you, it was something special! This one was fueled by the delicious PURPOSE | Preworkout - Watermelon. This ensured we had the energy and focus to perform, and of course get a skin-splitting pump!

For this routine, we started off with two exercises to target the lats and warm us up for the heavier compound movements later on. We then moved into our two main movements; a lat pulldown and machine row. To finish off, we did a bunch of pullovers and even burned out with my giant-set! 

Workout

  • Dual Cable Lat Pulldown: 2 sets 10-12 reps
  • Pullups: 3 sets 6-10 reps
  • Lat Pulldown: 3 sets 10-12 reps
  • Single-Arm Machine Row: 3 sets 10-12 reps
  • Rope Pullover: 3 sets 10-12 reps
  • Finisher: Last set of pullovers -> High Row 10-12 reps

After the workout we played around with some posing by the iconic Mecca wall! I'd say we were about even with the ridiculous pump from this workout - had us feeling like we had wings!

This session with Regan was an awesome one, and a great way to grow a massive back!
